What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. We use the term loosely on this page to also cover similar browser storage, such as localStorage, that works in a comparable way but is not sent back to a server automatically.
What we currently use
liro_consent
A cookie that remembers you have seen our cookie notice, so we do not show it again for 180 days. It holds no personal information and is not used to track you.
liroContactLastSubmit
A localStorage entry set when you submit the contact form, used only to stop the same browser submitting it again within a short cooldown period. It stays on your device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not used to track or identify you.
Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_<id>)
Set by Google Analytics, which we load through Google Tag Manager on every page. They give each browser a random identifier so Google can tell repeat visits apart and report how the site is used in aggregate, such as which pages are most visited and how people arrive. They typically last up to two years. There is more on this below.

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, on every page of this site to understand how visitors use it. These cookies are set when a page loads. We use the information only in aggregate, to see things like which pages are popular and how people find us, and not to identify you personally. The data is processed by Google on our behalf and may be handled on servers outside the European Economic Area. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com.
Managing cookies
You can see our cookie notice again at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. To stop analytics cookies, you can block or delete cookies through your browser's own settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, which stops Google Analytics running in your browser across all websites.
